Fabric Curtains

Curtains made of fabrics are the traditional ones. From thick-lined fabric that keeps out the draft to sheer linens that let in natural light, curtains fabrics come in a number of varieties at local markets.

Prices range from fabric to fabric and its quality. The fabric you select determines how a curtain hangs and drapes, as well as the texture, coverage, durability, and ease of laundering.

Polyester is a common fabric for curtains, as it is durable, sturdy, and affordable and is available in varieties of colours, patterns, and styles.
Linen provides a tailored look and is perfect for a casual dining area, airy bedroom, or contemporary living room. The sheer fabric doesn’t block the sun, which allows for natural light to fill your living space. Linen curtains are typically for dry clean only. There are other fabrics like velvet, cotton and silk for making curtains for your space.

Vertical blind and horizontal blind

These types of curtains are vastly used in offices and commercial spaces. They can be used in common houses though. Various types of vertical blinds with different material and texture are available in markets.
Vertical blinds are sold for square-feet and the selling shops provide service to fit the curtains at your space.

Providing easier access to the windows, vertical blinds provide better shading and daylights. As the sun shines downwards, the curtains let less light through their slats, and also neutralize heat, providing a shady and cool environment.

Horizontal blinds are more suitable for colder months, as they are less efficient in keeping sun and heat out. You can adjust a horizontal blind easily because of its pulley system and their wider range of materials, such as wood, is convenient and aesthetically pleasing.

Roller blind

They are highly attractive for their wide ranges of designs, colours and fabrics. Roller blinds can perfectly suite your elegant looking window, at once. Roller blinds are easy to use and operate as they can easily be pulled up and down. These curtains are highly durable if you choose the right material. However, mechanism can still be possibly broken and that will give you bigger difficulties. Roller blinds give a good coverage to your home. Cleaning the shades is a bit difficult though.

Bamboo chick

The natural appeal of bamboo is associated with a relaxed elegance in interiors. Bamboo chicks have become an excellent eco-friendly choice nowadays. The woven nature of the curtains allows light to filter in while blocking views. Bamboo curtains offer better privacy than other decorative options.

Bamboo curtains have some disadvantages, too. They are quite fragile as bamboo is prone to cracking, breaking or splitting. This type of curtain easily collects dust particles and need to be cleaned with the soft brush of a vacuum cleaner regularly.
